NOW OPEN: 2023 Instructional & Coach Pitch (new!) Registration

The 2023 Irondale Baseball League Instructional and Coach Pitch registration is now open. Coach Pitch is new to IBL for 2023! Instructional Baseball is offered for kids in grades 2nd through 9th while Coach Pitch is for ages K-2nd (5U-8U). The season begins in mid-April and runs through early July.

* - 2nd graders are allowed to play 10U Instructional. We leave that decision up to the parents. Please keep in mind that this is kid pitch baseball and a higher level of skills and play will be instructed by the coaches.

Our coach pitch program will be played 2 nights per week. Players will be pitched to by the coaches. Practices will be held at fields in Mounds View and New Brighton. A tee may be implemented in the beginning of the season to help teach proper hitting mechanics and get balls in play and to help develop defensive skills. This is a great way to expose your young player to baseball!

By Josh Deer 09/05/2022, 2:00pm CDT

Looking to get involved in the community?

IBL is looking to fill its final positions for the 2023 season! IBL is growing, and so is the board - we need your help to continue to support the kids participating in IBL.

Positions include:
- Travel Coordinator, 13U, 14U & 15U - this position reports to the Traveling Director, works alongside the 9U-12U Travel Coordinator and is an easy way to get involved with IBL for the first time!

- Player Development Director - a director-level position aimed at cultivating relationships with the Irondale High School varsity baseball program and coaches, ensuring that IBL coaches are instructing the game "the Irondale way" as well as working to provide additional camps, clinics and developmental opportunities.

If you are interested in serving on the board, contact a board member or attend a board meeting to learn more!

Irondale Youth Baseball

IBL (Irondale Baseball League) offers baseball for youth living in the 621 Mounds View Public Schools District. The IBL and its volunteers annually offer a quality baseball experience to hundreds of youth in our communities, specifically in New Brighton and Mounds View, but also in some parts of Arden Hills, Shoreview, St. Anthony, Roseville, and Fridley.

Our goal is to provide a positive baseball learning experience, especially for players, volunteer coaches and umpires, as well as for families and spectators.

The IBL offers instructional baseball and traveling baseball programs in a competitive environment. Teamwork, sportsmanship, playing hard, giving your best, and having fun are emphasized.
